Sustainable development emphasises the role of the private sector. The private sector plays a central role in the promotion of well-being and sustainable development in developing countries because companies create jobs, capital, know-how and technology to poor countries. Developing countries offer a multitude of new opportunities and partnerships for Finnish companies as well. Responsible business activities benefit all the parties involved.
